Lett. <b>78<\/b>, 4697 \u2013 Published 23 June 1997<\/h5>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<\/div>\n<h4 class=\"title\" dir=\"ltr\">Abstract <i class=\"fi-minus\"><\/i><\/h4>\n<div class=\"content\" dir=\"ltr\" data-loaded=\"yes\">\n<p>We present new break-up and coherent data for <span class=\"aps-inline-formula\"><span id=\"MathJax-Element-2-Frame\" class=\"mjx-chtml MathJax_CHTML\" tabindex=\"0\"><span id=\"MJXc-Node-4\" class=\"mjx-math\"><span id=\"MJXc-Node-5\" class=\"mjx-mrow\"><span id=\"MJXc-Node-6\" class=\"mjx-mi\"><span class=\"mjx-char MJXc-TeX-math-I\">\u03b7<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> meson photoproduction on the deuteron, using a deuterium target and tagged bremsstrahlung photons up to 1 GeV. The differential cross sections for the coherent process were measured from threshold to 800 MeV. They are much smaller than those previously reported. The break-up channel provides a direct measurement of the neutron to proton differential cross section ratios. At the <span class=\"aps-inline-formula\"><span id=\"MathJax-Element-3-Frame\" class=\"mjx-chtml MathJax_CHTML\" tabindex=\"0\"><span id=\"MJXc-Node-7\" class=\"mjx-math\"><span id=\"MJXc-Node-8\"
